Hang Gliding

Lesson Types

Beginner Dune Lesson: Participants of this lesson fly over the soft sand of Jockey's Ridge State Park. We've taught over 300,000 people to fly here. People from ages 4-92 have tasted flight thanks to this lesson. These lessons go year round. Weight minimum of 85 lbs (no minimum for kids class, listed below) and maximum of 225 lbs.

Tandem Lessons: Fly from 2,000 feet up to a mile high (5,280 ft) with an instructor guiding your soaring glider in the sky. This lesson is the easiest way to touch the sky and, according to participants, is one of our most rewarding experiences.

Kids Hang Gliding Lesson: Our newest hang gliding lesson now accomodates anyone under 85 lbs! We've taken children as young as 4, and the child must be able to follow simple commands. Our experienced instructors will ensure your child has a safe and thrilling experience. Start in June and go through mid-August.

Other Lesson Types include: Advanced Dune Lesson, Taste of Flight Package, Sand and Sky Package, Hang I certification courses, and many more.

Please Note:
- Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver.
- Tandem instruction is handicapped accessible, and we'll try our best to accomodate anyone and everyone in our dune lessons.
- To do a Dune Lesson, you must be able to run approximately ten yards.

We have taught students aged 4-92, male and female, physically fit and physically challenged. In fact, we can accommodate paraplegics, blind, deaf and other persons physically challenged. All we require is a desire to learn how to fly. We provide beginner, intermediate and advanced instruction.
