Kitty Hawk Kites has the best selection of Kiteboarding Gear available on the Outer Banks. Our Kiteboarding Resort - Waves Village - is one of only two in North America. We boast the largest rental center out there! There are no restrictions on what’s available to rent. Rent any Kite (Cabrinha, Ozone, Air Rush, HQ, Epic, Ocean Rodeo) or Board (Crazy Fly, Nobile, Cabrinha, Ocean Rodeo, Jimmy Lewis, HQ) we carry. We know that shipping your gear can be expensive and a hassle. Take advantage of our 2010 North American Rental Center with the largest selection of Kites and Boards available. While the other guys charge you per kite and board, we'll let you rent as many as you want for one low rate!

Supervised RIding / Supervised Rental

Are you riding, but not staying upwind?

New for 2010! We now offer supervised riding services. Let our expert instructors ensure your safety by monitoring you as kiteboard at our kiteboarding resort. Book a three hour block where we monitor your safety and downwind travel. As soon as you go downwind to the designated checkpoint, we come and pick you up with our custom designed rescue sled that enables you to be transported upwind in the least amount of time possible. Once you are upwind, you can continue riding and practicing. This takes out all the concerns for how you will exit once you go downwind, how you land your kite, and how you get back to your car. Don’t worry with our supervised riding, just concentrate on improving your kiteboarding skills.

This is also a great way to combine kiteboarding rentals with the security of a chase watercraft! You can rent equipment from us and also know you will be able to get back upwind! Only $75.00 more than our regular Exclusive Day Rental Fee!

Rental Options

Exclusive Day Rental - $125

Kite at our site and rent as many kites or boards as you want for one flat rate. With hundreds of acres of waist deep water, free air pumps, hot water showers, free storage, a weather center, and our entire North American Rental Fleet available, what are you waiting for?

Off Site Rental - $150

Take up to one kite and one board off site - perfect for Ocean riding with those northeast/southeast days. Choose any kite and any board in our entire North American Rental Fleet.

Weekly Rental - $500

Save $250 or more and rent gear for up to 7 days! Instead of paying to have your gear shipped or those ridiculous airline baggage fees, take the opportunity to try out our entire North American Rental Fleet for the week! There is no catch - all kites and all boards are included!

Extras

Harness - $25

This is our standard, Dakine Fusion Seat Harness. Our other harnesses are not available for rent. Sizes S, M, L, XL, & XXL.

Wetsuit - $25

We have many different thicknesses (3/2, 4/3, 5/4) and sizes (S, M, L, XL, XXL) for your comfort. Don't let the cold keep you out of the water!

Board - $25

Have the kite but still need a board? Try out as many of our boards as you want for one price. Why not try out a few before you make your purchase decision?

Kites - $100

Try out any of our kites for one low rate. Our competitors can't (and won't) match this.
